Struggling with Reality

Firstly, it’s way past time for someone to complain of the rampant misuse of
the term ‘progressive’ by the liberal leftist spin machines. By continuing
to declare themselves the ‘progressive’ party, they attempt to usurp every
positive connotation the word suggests, and by so doing imply that opponents
must be ‘anti-progressive’, or digressive. Thus they attempt to lay claim to
everything positive, and paint all opposition with a broad negative brush. It is
time for Americans firmly grounded in reality to object to liberals weak claim
to the word. The changes championed by liberals today, and even some changes
they have imposed on society more recently, have not resulted in progress. While
some aspects of the ‘original’ democratic party could be considered to have
advanced society, the politics and policies of today’s leftists no longer
represent progress or the advance of society as a whole. The promotion of
women’s and minority rights in voting, education and employment, fighting
slavery, and reasonable attempts to help government develop a conscience with
regard to poverty are truly progressive achievements of former
‘progressives’ like Zell Miller’s and his ilk. Unfortunately what is today
called ‘progressive’ is not necessarily so, and in fact often represents
moral regression which can only weaken both the democracy, family values, and
the economy. Whereas real progress in the advance of society as a whole always
involve change, …all change is not necessarily progress.
In days long lost, the ‘progressive party’ based its efforts on an internal
compass of compassionate traditional values, but now declares itself secular and
openly works to undermine the faith and moral basis of the majority of the
nation. In so doing it puts at risk every legitimate effort to further refine
and extend humane principals of equality and personal freedoms. Now to be
progressive is to refuse any moral judgment whatsoever. The Democratic party
platform continues to abandon all traditional values and standards of judgment,
in a futile effort to represent a growing collection of far-left special
interest groups each with myopic agendas which are sometimes in conflict with
other coalition core agendas. In attempting to represent and speak to so many
extreme viewpoints at once, the party increasingly finds itself unable to say
anything of sustenance at all. The intellectual and moral quandary only leaves
open political strategies of criticism and attack of any not considered a part
of their coalition. This is why the Democratic party is increasing viewed as the
party of hate, intolerance, and blame. This is also why it is becoming less and
less a mainstream representative party of the people, and why it can not form a
coherent, clear platform on any issue of national importance. Instead,
practicing pure bigotry, they label anyone not ascribing to their political view
as bigots. Unable to make logical lucid arguments on issues using fact, they
increasingly regress to name calling and the always reliable strategy of
transference. The sad fact is that the Democratic party, seemingly no longer
able to discern the difference between right and wrong, or good and evil, … is
no longer ‘progressive’. Even after recent election defeats, its proposed
answer is ‘no-change at all’, just more deception. The approach for the next
election is to re-couch existing Democratic talking points into terms
‘acceptable’ to mainstream faith based Americans. Through such tactics they
hope to pretend their way back into power, while not having to repent or change
the left-leaning liberal direction of the party one iota.
The Democratic Party seems only equipped to protect its advantage on
‘progressive’ judges, abortion rights, privacy rights of terrorists, and the
entitlements and delicate sensibilities of certain special interest groups, but
otherwise seem wholly ill-equipped to protect us from anything more dangerous
than vague unintended insults from the ‘insensitive’ Republican Party.
Possibly the greatest Democratic president of all time, JF Kennedy, understood
well the perils facing the US by communist totalitarianism and was willing to
risk all to stand up to it, but sadly there are no Democrats of his caliber in
our day willing to even identify, let alone stand up to Islamic fascism.
Republicans seem to have a much better grip on reality, though Bush has yet to
clearly identify core Islam as the evil theology we are at war with. Our leaders
strut their tough-guy promises of "no surrender" while they duck even
naming the real enemy. We shadow-box "terror" while our borders remain
wide open and neighborhood Imams expound on the virtues of Jihad against
non-believers. Both parties remain in denial, but liberals have taken a big step
beyond that to join Islamists and their apologists in frustrating the forces of
truth and enlightenment.
Smug in their self-righteousness and sanctimonious high-ground, liberals
continue to mock and disparage all religions, except the one which killed 3000
Sept 11 and aspires to kill even more tomorrow. The Democratic Party has become
a religion unto itself, its devout followers responding to everything with knee
jerk emotion. Independent thought is punished; all must conform to party
doctrine. Everything must be compared against a bizarre prism of a
pseudo-morality that has supplanted rational thought and self-evident truths.
Millions of timid sheep nervously look first to Ted Kennedy and Howard Dean
before parroting the official line. The party once affiliated with American
independence, courage, and strength has become a club of timidity and
conformity. The Left talk big about idealism and morality, claiming to be the
party of compassion, yet in the same breath show themselves mean-spirited,
cynical, and without faith in any principal based on free-agency or democracy.
Hateful name calling has become all the rage, with everyone outside the circle
labeled Bigoted, Racist, Islamophobic, Homophobic, Heteronormative, Neo-Con,
Neanderthal, Right-wing religious nut, Jesus freak, Environmental rapist, etc
etc… The party of tolerance and inclusion has become the least tolerant.
FLASH! Here is some more news. Light is very real, as is darkness. The concept
of ‘right and wrong’ also exist, as do the valid moral judgments of
‘Good’ and ‘Evil’. On the other hand, ‘Moral Relativism’ (the
underlying foundation for much of what is currently called 'political
correctness') is based on a lie. The premise behind 'moral relativism' is that
neither Evil or Good actually exist, and so cannot be measured. Such absurd
argument is opium for the week minded and the morally challenged. By abandoning
common sense and conscience, those ascribing to such arguments think themselves
more intelligent, but prove only their own corruption. Placing increasing faith
in 'political correctness' requires liberal ideologists to abandon core notions
of right and wrong, which increasingly is blinding them from reality. There is
nothing but duplicity and double-standards evident in moral-relativism, and such
quibbling is automatically trumped by real standards founded in truth, virtue,
and humane principles. Moral relativism holds sway only in the vapor that is the
minds of its faithful adherents. Such foolishness becomes the final step in a
process of personal corruption that starts with an individual becoming so
open-minded, that his/her 'brain' has 'fallen out'. In a reckless surge to
become 'smarter', such individuals instead quickly become unthinking slaves to
their elitist masters. When a large number of people surrender individual
thought, placing trust in the hands of a powerful constituency to decide what is
correct and acceptable, such excessive inclusion often results in complete
exclusion of any idea not approved by the PC Police, exactly the opposite of
what is intended. Evil, all too real today in its various manifestations,
continues to claim to be the opposite of what it is. Islamic fundamentalism, as
measured by its consequences across the globe, is evil in every sense, and by
any standard of human or individual rights, yet still claims to be a religion of
Peace. Such nonsense is parroted by various leftist groups, conveniently
ignoring the realities of current events and 1400 years of violent history. The
mind numbing ability to engage in such ‘stretch’ thinking is thought to be a
personal achievement, but which in reality describes an intellectually limited
and narrow-minded state of being which is nothing to brag about. These are they
who can say without a blink; ‘One mans terrorist is another mans freedom
fighter’, when actually one mans terrorist, ...is another mans terrorist,
plain and simple! In fact, any man who worships or thinks like a terrorist
justifying terrorist acts, is also a terrorist. The Dutch recently learned this
with the brutal murder of Van Gogh, as did the Russians via a Beslan school
incident.
If someone is attacking you with the intent to kill you, you can’t 'reach out
to him', you have to defend yourself. The simple indisputable logic of survival
dictates that you must Kill him, or be killed by him. If your enemy is focused
with the intent to kill you, you must be focused to defend yourself and kill him
first. If he takes a threatening posture, you must take a similar posture to
survive. Even if you fundamentally prefer peace and abhor War, if a man reaches
for his gun, you must reach for your gun. Such posturing does not morally equate
you to your enemy. Most Muslims will not, indeed cannot, listen to
non-believers. They are not open to dialogues and cannot accept suggestions from
inferior infidels. They burn books which are critical of Islam and kill their
authors. They are not going into Infidel Internet discussion forums, and they
ban Westerners if we go to theirs. But despite all their failures (which are
legion), they are still determined to kill us, or at least force their
'religion' down our throats. Their faith is unwavering, their resolve unshaken.
Self described elitists teaching in our schools and universities share this
sense of ‘superiority’, which prevents rational evaluation and judgment.
Leftists believe that religion, or any value based judgment system, is the
"opium of the oppressed". To these elitists drunk on their own opium,
once their perfect society is achieved, there won't be any need for religion and
it will wither away. So they spend all day patting each other on the back
dismissing the Islamist threat. To these, their chief enemy is core America and
the moral values it represents, and so they see a friend in any entity opposing
America and democracy. The gross hypocrisy in embracing the ‘religion’ of
Islam to further their aims completely escapes them, a natural consequence of a
mindset so wide it has become non-functional. They would do well to remember
what happened to their communist and liberal brethren in Iran who helped bring
Ayatollah Khomeini into power, …afterwards they were all slaughtered!
Islamimaniacs have been quite clear about their plans to form a seamless Islamic
caliphate, thus inflicting on the entire world burkas, stonings, amputations,
honor killings, suppression of all religious/political freedoms, and brutality
of every sort. Whether to oppose such a dark movement should be a no-brainer,
especially for self-proclaimed “progressives.” Instead, they continue to
align themselves with a philosophy of death and destruction representing the
polar opposite of every democratic talking point. Peoples, wake-up! Join your
compatriots endeavoring to insure the survival and vitality of us all! Forget
party affiliations which stand in opposition to your children’s and
grandchildren’s future. Shake yourself from an illusionary dream-state and
plant yourself firmly in reality. Steadfastly stand with your neighbors to
oppose those who would destroy us, our government, our children, our future.
This is not a game, there is no ‘re-set’ button should things go wrong. The
‘War on Islamic Terror’ is not a Hollywood contrived ‘reality’ show
playing out for our entertainment on CNN. This is frighteningly real. The
Nuclear Weapons being prepared in Iran today will be handed off to proxies
anxious to deliver them to our doorstep. That sequel to the horror Film ‘Sept
11’, is currently in production and will be coming soon to a theatre near you!
In a state of ignorant bliss and practicing pure magical thinking, elitists
envision a multicultural utopia that in fact is completely incompatible with
Islamic doctrine and practices. There is good reason it is becoming increasingly
difficult to find nations (Israeli, Dutch, Serbian, Spanish, Italian, Russian,
Philippine, and so many others), who are still willing to invite more Muslims to
live alongside them. If you are not Islamophobic yet, …you will be.
